These terms apply to your use of SunriseAlmanac. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Informational use only

SunriseAlmanac provides sunrise, sunset, twilight, moon and related times for general information and planning. The figures are calculated from astronomical algorithms and are not official.

They must not be relied on for navigation, aviation, maritime operations, legal determinations (such as the start or end of lawful hunting or lighting hours), religious observance, or any decision where an error could cause injury, loss or damage. For those purposes, consult the official source for your country or activity.

Accuracy

We work to keep the information accurate, but we make no guarantee that it is complete, current or error-free. Times assume a sea-level horizon and standard atmospheric conditions and are rounded to the nearest minute. Actual times can differ because of terrain, elevation, weather and refraction, and because of changes to time zone or daylight saving rules made after our data was last updated. The methodology page explains the calculations and their limits.

Intellectual property

The design, text and compilation of the site are owned by SunriseAlmanac. You may view, print and share individual pages for personal, non-commercial use, and you may quote small amounts of data with a link back to the relevant page. You may not copy the site in bulk, scrape it systematically, or republish substantial parts of it without permission.

Astronomical facts themselves are not owned by anyone; these terms cover our presentation and compilation of them.

Third-party data

Place names, coordinates, populations and time zone assignments are derived from GeoNames (https://www.geonames.org/) and are used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 License. Time zone rules come from the IANA time zone database. These sources are provided by their maintainers without warranty.

The site displays advertising and may link to other websites. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, products or practices of advertisers or linked sites.

Limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SunriseAlmanac is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or its information. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

Acceptable use

Please do not attempt to disrupt the site, overload it with automated requests, or interfere with its advertising or security.

Changes

We may change these terms or the site at any time. The current version is always available on this page, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
